Early childhood represents the most rapid period of development in a human life. Studies indicate 90 percent of a child’s brain develops by age 3 and concepts of compassion, conscience and personal responsibility are fully entrenched by age 4.

Our mission is to provide early childhood educational experiences and comprehensive child and family services to low-income children and families in Johnson County.

In the midst of the wealthiest county in Kansas, we have a long waiting list for our programs. With your support, we can provide the opportunity to get a head start on success in school to more needy children and their families in  Shawnee Mission. To learn more about our program, select Programs . To learn more about what you can do, select Become Involved.

Our family enrichment center in downtown Overland Park serves pregnant women and children from birth to five and their families.

Text Box: We have added infant and toddler classrooms to our education center. Call us to join a Crayon Box tour to see our facilities and the children in action.
