Sunset in the Park Proceeds to benefit Head Start of Shawnee Mission
HSSM has been selected as a recipient of The Rotary Club of Shawnee “Sunset in the Park” event proceeds.
The event is Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Shawnee Mission Park Pavilion.

The Midwest Classic is a professional golf tournament that is part of the PGA TOUR’s Web.com Tour.

Week Grounds Pass – $25
Valid for the entire tournament week, July 15-21, 2013
Week Grounds Passes in 10-packs for $200 (a $50 savings) and Corporate 30 packs for $500 (a $250 savings).
The Grounds Pass permits access to the golf course as well as bleacher seating. Military personnel get in free with military ID. Kids 14 and under are free accompanied by an adult.
The area’s only professional golf tournament is offering this Tickets Fore Charity program…through which 100% of the funds received by the tournament for all tickets sold will be donated to participating charities.
Purchase a book for a Head Start child

Head Start of Shawnee Mission is partnering with Rainy Day Books for an opportunity for Head Start enrolled children to receive books from you! Community friends are invited to choose a book from our wish list below. To get started, just click the link of the book you’d like to purchase. Or pick your own preschool favorite from the Rainy Day Books database.
Add the book to your cart, choose in-store pickup as your shipping option, and add Head Start to your order comments field. Rainy Day Books will arrange the book delivery with us!

Crayon Box Tours

We offer free, one-hour tours of our program to increase community awareness about Head Start of Shawnee Mission. Visitors will get to see our terrific kids getting off the bus – ready to start their day, and visit our classrooms during our family style breakfast or lunch periods. You’ll learn about our program and the comprehensive services we offer our children and their families. These tours have been very successful in spreading the word about what we’re doing over here at 8155 Santa Fe Drive. Since starting the Crayon Box Tours in 2007, over 1,000 people have walked our halls, met our children, and learned more about the impact or program is making. Our hope is that those who visit us will share what they’ve learned on the tour with friends and colleagues. You never know when someone might need our services.

In addition, do all of your shopping through their online shopping mall, GoodShop.com, where you can shop at more than 2,000 top online retailers and a percentage of your purchases will go to this non-profit organization. You pay the same price as you normally would, but a donation goes to your cause!
